Rand Paul and the Rebirth PDF Print E-mail
Nov 18, 2010

Have you watched the interview with Senator elect from Kentucky Rand Paul on abc’s ‘This Week’? It is a must see. Less of a glamorous interview but more what I would call insightful into the future of American Government.

Because of victories like Rand Paul’s in Kentucky and all over the country we are seeing Americans rising and getting involved in the future of their Country. What a novel idea. Rand Paul won his race by 12 percentage points. That is a huge win for someone so outspoken and direct about his conservative views that he often caused established Republicans to wince. A 12 percent win came from residents in Kentucky who saw something new with Rand Paul.

They didn’t see a threat but an ally, one of their own. A man who looked who looked at problems we were facing and offered a shift from the current insanity they had come to expect. I have seen firsthand the race for US Senate here in my home State of Kentucky and it has been an incredible race to watch. However the embrace of fiscal responsibility more accountability of the government to the people has happened wide spread across this Country. Not only at the federal level but state after state governments turned their legislators over to the candidates that were preaching a conservative message. One of less and limited government and controlled spending.

Erik Erickson the well known conservative blogger on Red State call the conservative move nothing short of a “tsunami”.

But the work is only beginning. Yes victories have been achieved and groundwork has been laid. Still across this Country US Senate and Congressional seats fell to liberal candidates. Local governments which are such a part of the fabric of this Country must see the same fiscal restraint and accountability.

There is a road ahead that we must strategize and prepare for. May we never rest in our victories. The only way to achieve conservative goals consistently in the future is to lay the framework today.

In Thomas Paine's “The American Crisis” He wrote, “the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.” He penned that during the American Revolution from tyranny in England. Today we face a new tyranny but with the same end. In this current struggle we must be vigilant not violent and purposed in our focus to make our nation prosperous and free.

We can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines of the struggle. For freedom it is do or die! The socialist agenda we are looking at from the progressive left will destroy everything we love about this country and all that we hold dear in our personal lives. Remember you are the most important person in this struggle. As you stand to do what must be done, namely get active in our Country and join the rebirth of our nation remember that “tyranny like hell is not easily defeated.” Thomas Paine.
